Booking Through Alfie: From First Message to Your Reference Number

A guided walk through booking your Central London move inside the Alfie chat, from your first question to your AM reference number.

Published 27 October 2026 · Updated 27 October 2026

A chat booking and a website booking get the same reference and the same emails.

You do not have to fill in the full booking form to book with us. Alfie can take the same details in the chat, one question at a time, and create a booking that is identical to one made on the website.

This guide walks through each stage of a chat booking, from the first question to the reference number you keep, and shows how to change or track the booking afterwards.

Key takeaways

  • You can book inside the Alfie chat, without filling in the full booking form.
  • Alfie shows a summary before you confirm, so you can check the price, date and addresses.
  • A chat booking gets the same AM-###### reference, emails and My bookings page as a website booking.
  • Changes requested more than 24 hours before your start time are free.

Step 1: Ask for a quote

Tell Alfie the type of job, the size of the property, the date you want and the two postcodes. New to booking? Start with how to book movers in Central London online. For example: “Studio to one-bed flat, Central London, Thursday morning, both have lifts, van parks on the street.”

Alfie replies with a starting price from our rate card. Read the quote type he chose and what it covers before you go on. If you prefer a person-led walkthrough first, our Central London man and van page explains the service.

Step 2: Tell Alfie you want to book

Say you want to go ahead, for example “Please book this.” Alfie then asks for the details the office needs: the floor at each address, the lift, parking, the date and the time slot.

Answer each question in one line. If you do not know a detail, say so. The office can confirm it when it reviews the booking.

The details Alfie will ask for

The floor and lift at each address, where the van can park, the date, the time slot, any items that need special handling, and a phone number the office can reach you on.

Step 3: Check the summary

Before anything is sent, Alfie shows one summary with the price, the date, the time slot, both addresses and the access details.

Read it line by line. If something is wrong, tell Alfie what to change and he updates the summary. Confirm only when every line is right.

Step 4: Keep your reference

Once you confirm, you get a reference in the form AM-######. The same reference appears on My bookings and in your confirmation email.

Save it now. Quote it when you call 07448 849354 or email info@alphamovers.co.uk, so we find your job straight away.

Step 5: Track or change the booking

Open My bookings at alphamovers.co.uk/my-bookings/ and sign in with your email and code. You see the reference, the status and the change link.

A change requested more than 24 hours before your start time is free. Inside 24 hours the cancellation terms apply, and they are explained in our cancellation and change policy.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. It creates the same booking record, so you get the same reference, the same confirmation email and the same My bookings page.
