1. Introduction

By booking Alpha Movers, the customer agrees to provide accurate move information and to follow reasonable instructions needed to complete the service safely.

2. Quotations

Quotes are based on the information supplied by the customer. Prices may change if the actual job differs from the information provided.

• Extra goods or additional services are requested
• Access, stairs, lifts, doorways or parking are different from the details supplied
• The approach road or loading position is unsuitable or too far from the property
• External costs such as tolls, ferry charges or special permits apply

3. Customer responsibilities

The customer is responsible for preparing the move and providing accurate information.

• Declare high-value or fragile items before booking
• Arrange permits, parking, lift slots and building permissions where required
• Prepare appliances and electronics before moving
• Defrost and clean fridges and freezers before transport
• Provide correct contact details during the service

4. Postponement or cancellation

Cancellation or postponement fees may apply depending on notice and operational costs already committed.

• More than 48 hours before the move: usually no charge
• Less than 48 hours notice: up to 50% of the removal charge
• Less than 24 hours notice: up to 100% of the removal charge

5. Liability and insurance

Eligible moves may include Goods in Transit cover. Liability may be limited by the declared value, condition and packing of goods.

Owner-packed boxes must be packed safely. We are not responsible for concealed damage inside poorly packed boxes unless external damage is clearly caused by our negligence.

6. Excluded items

Some goods cannot be moved or stored unless agreed in writing by Alpha Movers.

• Dangerous, explosive, illegal, stolen or prohibited goods
• Cash, jewellery, securities, deeds, coins and similar valuables
• Plants or goods likely to cause vermin, pest or contamination issues
• Perishable goods or items needing controlled environments
• Animals, birds or fish

7. Payment

Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due in full on completion of the service by cleared funds.

Accepted methods include bank transfer and cash. Cheques are not accepted.
