Photos, Voice and Saved Chats: Getting More From Alfie
A guided look at sending photos, speaking your questions and coming back to saved chats, to get a more accurate quote from Alfie.
Published 17 November 2026 · Updated 17 November 2026

Alfie is more than a text box. You can send photos of the items and the access route, speak your questions where voice is shown, and come back to a saved chat weeks later without starting again.
This guide shows you how to use each of these features well, so the quote you get is closer to the price you pay.
Key takeaways
- Send photos of the items and the access route to get a more accurate quote.
- Use voice where it is shown in the chat, and let Alfie read answers aloud.
- Your chats are saved to your email, so you can come back to the same job.
- Never send photos of passports, bank cards or other documents.
Step 1: Send useful photos
Take a clear photo of the items you are moving, and a photo of the access route at each address. For a staircase, stand at the bottom and photograph the full flight. For parking, photograph the kerb or the loading area.
A photo tells us more than a paragraph. Do not include documents, passports or bank cards in any photo. Photos of tight stairs and parking help most, and Central London flat removals show how we plan them.
- Large items: one photo each, with a tape measure if you have one.
- Stairs: from the bottom and from the top of the flight.
- Parking: the kerb, any bay or yellow line, and the distance to the door.
Step 2: Use voice if it is shown
Where the chat shows a voice option, you can speak your question instead of typing it. Alfie can also read his answers aloud if your device allows it.
If voice does not appear on your device, type your question. The answer is the same.
Tips for voice
Speak one question at a time, and say the postcode slowly. If Alfie mishears a postcode, check the summary he shows back to you before you move on.
Step 3: Come back to a saved chat
Your chats are saved to your email address. Sign in with the six-digit code to see them. Keep one chat for each move, so the details stay together. If you need storage between properties, see our storage services in Central London. Once you are ready to book, follow the booking guide.
When you come back, quote your AM reference if you have one. That links the chat to your booking.
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Saved to your email | Find the same job again with one sign-in |
| Photos attached | Office sees the access before the day |
| Booking summary | Matches the reference in My bookings |
