This policy explains what personal information Alpha Movers Group Ltd (“we”, “us”) collects when you contact us or use this website, how we use it, and what rights you have. We are the data controller for that information. Our registered address is 779 Eastern Avenue, Ilford IG2 7RX.

What we collect

We keep the minimum needed to quote and carry out a removal:

Contact details — your name, phone number and, if you email us, your email address.
Job details — the collection and delivery addresses, floor and access notes, the date, and a description of what is being moved. This may include photographs you send us over WhatsApp.
Payment records — the amount paid and the method. We do not store full card details.
Website data — if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages you view, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. Nothing is recorded until you accept.

This website has no quote form. The only ways to contact us are by phone, WhatsApp and email, and you choose what to tell us.

How we use it

To give you a price and answer your questions.
To plan and carry out your move — routing, crew size, parking and access.
To take payment and keep accounting records.
To handle any insurance claim or complaint arising from a job.
To comply with our legal and tax obligations.

Our lawful bases are performance of a contract (or steps towards one), our legitimate interests in running the business, legal obligation for accounting records, and your consent for analytics cookies. We do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to, and we never sell your data.

WhatsApp messages

If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is carried and stored by WhatsApp under their own privacy terms as well as on our business device. Please avoid sending anything sensitive that we do not need for the job.

Who we share it with

Only where it is necessary: the crew assigned to your move; a local council when we apply for a parking bay suspension on your behalf; our insurer if a claim is made; our accountant and payment provider; Google, for website analytics if you have accepted analytics cookies; and any authority where we are legally required to disclose. We use no third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within twelve months. Completed job records and invoices are kept for six years, as required for UK tax and accounting. Photographs sent for quoting are deleted once the job is complete unless they form part of a claim.

Security

Records are held on password-protected devices and accounts, accessible only to staff who need them. Paper job sheets are destroyed once the job details have been entered into our records.

Cookies and analytics

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. If you choose Accept, Google Analytics is switched on to tell us which pages people visit and which links they use to call or message us. If you choose Decline, analytics stays off. Advertising cookies are not used. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings; the site works either way.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete data we no longer need, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable format. Email info@alphamovers.co.uk or call 07448 849354 and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
